I was thinking of putting him in a regular single bed with a rail instead on getting him a toddler bed because he moves around in his bed sooooo much, and i think the toddler bed will be to small for him. He is big for his age. He is 11 months old and wears size 2 clothes. I'm sure he will be big enough to sleep in a big boy bed by then…what do u think????

I was just wondering when I would move my child from a crib into a toddler bed? Is it normally a bed with rails or what? Is it once they can start getting up to walk or not? That seems a little early. This is my first child and we’ve been thinking about having another and was just wondering if I’m going to need to have 2 cribs if my one child isn’t old enough to move to a bed by the time the 2nd is born. My first would probably be around 2 years old when the 2nd is born.

We have one of those cribs that converts to a toddler bed and the toddler bed is basically the crib, with one side removed (so there are three full sides and then one empty side). My daughter keeps rolling out on to the floor and waking up at night. We purchased one of those toddler bed rails from babies r us, but then when we got it home, the directions said you couldnt use it on a toddler bed (only a twin, full, etc). So now we don't know what to do! I'm wondering if anyone else has had the same problem and what they did. Thanks!
