My baby hates lying flat to sleep. We raised the head of his crib but he sometimes slides right down and to the side of the crib. So I was thinking of using a sleep positioner instead. Has anyone had success with it?

I use a positioner to sleep my 2 1/2 month old on her side. When should you stop using these positioners? I don't want to hinder her development at all and wasn't sure if keeping her "confined" in the positioner would cause problems with that.
Thank you.

Editorial Review
The Air Flow Sleep Positioner helps keep baby on her back or her side, the positions recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics to reduce the risk of SIDS. Two rounded frames providing support are hollow, allowing for the free flow of air. Adjust the self-fastener strips so that the positioner is just wide enough for baby to lie in. Place it in the crib, and lay baby down on her back or side, with the positioner placed below her arms. The soft fabric co (more…)

This morning I found my daughter sleeping on her stomach. She is almost 4 months old (1 week to go) She recently started rolling over. She can only roll over from one side, and she can't roll back over. She loves her stomach now, every time I put her down she rolls over, she also can hold her head up for well over 20 seconds. I read on the internet that it is okay for babies to sleep on their stomach as long as they can roll back over which she cannot (obviously I will check with my doctor to get her opinion). I also read conflicting opinions on sleep positioners. I want to go buy one today to ease my mind! It's too early to call the childrens clinic. Any advice? Have you used a sleep positioner? Did your infant roll over and sleep on their stomach?

Did you use a crib or bassinette? Has anyone used one of those bassinettes or newborn nappers that come with pack n' plays? Did you use a blanket or swaddle the baby? Did you use one of the sleep-right positioners? A lot of details I know, but I'm curious.

Baby is 5 months old & is now rolling over front to back & back to front. Will a sleep positioner trap her if she rolls over then can't move if it's in the way?

Not the Dex brand sleep positioner. My baby can roll over, and bring her head up. This is a product that reshapes her head gradually since she has developed a flat spot on the back of her head.
