Looking for A Baby Gate that has a Doggie Door!?

I have a 7 month old who is about to get really mobile so it's time for gates and many more safety items! However, I still want my dachshund to have free range. I was hoping to find a gate that has a doggie door flap. Does anyone know where I can get one?

Thanks A Bunch!

Buy a baby gate and cut a hole in it just enough of a size for your dog. Then buy some hinges and a clear piece of plexi glass or just wood and attach it .

I doubt anything like this exists, it sounds really dangerous. A small child would probably try to crawl through the doggy door and get stuck, or get out.

I have never seen one but I bet you could make one by cutting a whole in a regular gate. I could see the baby tring to stick arms and head through there though.

I think unless your dog is extremely intelligent and able to operate a gadget that could let him pass your are asking for a miracle gate.

Any gate a dog or pet could get through a baby could also climb through. You could even be creating an enviromentally unsound and potentially threatening situtation for the baby.

Just let your dog get use to staying confined to the same areas as the baby.

As the owner of StairGatesOnline, I don’t think I have ever heard of a stair gate with a dog door included. I think that I would have to agree with the other posters that find this dangerous. Kids will definitely try to find a way through, especially once they see the pets go through. Plus, If you are taking the time to install another set of hinges and a latch, it would be just as easy to open the gate for the pet when you want to let it through. I would try looking for regular stair gates and safety gates that have safe but convenient latch systems.
