My video shows why I am returning this product. I couldn't record the product in actual use because I never got that far, it broke before I even got it out of the box. It didn't match our wood color either, I may go with the cherry version though. Hope this helps.
Originally, when I purchased this item it was $59.99. The item arrived in a timely manner thought the shipping box was damaged in the corner. The gate was in good shape, though.
Pros:
-Solid wood
-Fairly sturdy design
Cons:
-The foot spacer is a tripping hazard
-The wall support bars may damage wall board
-The wall supports need to be tightened often
Although I have more cons than pros listed, I would still purchase this item as a pet gate. I do not think it is sturdy enough to be a child proof gate on stairs.

almost perfect
this gate is very sturdy, and happened to match my wood floors and trim perfectly (a honey color) so it blended well into the decor. The gates were a little pricey I thought.

Not Well Made
Have just got 1st one this morning and the gate latch does not meet the wooden part latch by 2 inches!! Very poorly made.

Good product.
We got this gate to keep our soon to be three-year-old out of our kitchen. With enough pulling and hanging, it does slide a bit and need tightening, but we love how nice it looks…

It is way too short and even though it says it is expandable…the opening is not so it really is for a small doorway. I dont like the closure mechanism.

Wood not good. Latch questionable.
Gate was not packaged well. Wood grain on obvious 45 degree angle. (wood should have been discarded by manufacturer) Wood broke during shipping.
